Cape Town city centre is rich in history and culture, and is alive with the sights and sounds of a diverse people who call it home. This tour will take you to some of the most celebrated attractions, from the Castle of Good Hope to the City Hall, where Nelson Mandela spoke to a crowd of hundreds of thousands after his release from prison. You will also see the cobbled streets and brightly coloured houses of the Bo-Kaap. Take a trip up Table Mountain, high above the clouds, on the revolving cable car, if the weather permits. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before you join a guided tour of The Falls from the Zimbabwe side. No surprise why Victoria Falls is one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World. You'll understand it instantly as we tour the Zimbabwean side, for there are numerous spectacular vantage points along the width of The Falls, and the sight of this astounding gift of nature, simply takes your breath away. Walk through the permanent, beautifully misty rainforest which flanks the Falls, stopping to marvel at the principal sites as it cascades to the depths below the Main Falls, Horsesh Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island and Livingstone Island. We'll stand and watch, feel and listen to the spray and thunderous noise, as millions of litres of water tumble over the Falls into a series of narrow gorges below. The seventh Natural Wonder of the World puts on the most dramatic show for you, and you'll be privileged to have watched it. This afternoon is at leisure. This afternoon you will be transferred to the train station in time to board the luxurious Rovos Rail for a 5pm departure. Expect wood-panelled sleeper coaches, remodelled and refurbished to mint condition, with every modern convenience and comfort with fittings and facilities that are of the highest standard. The Pullman Suites can accommodate one or two passengers and have an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. During the day, the suites have a comfortable sofa-seat with a conversion to double or twin beds (side-by-side or upper and lower bunks) for the evening. A dedicated host/ess is available at all times and services the suites daily. After settling into your cabin you may choose to enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the bar carriage before enjoying a sumptuous dinner. All meals are complemented by a selection of fine South African wines. An early continental breakfast will be served in the dining cars before disembarking the train for a morning game drive through Hwange National Park. Hwange is the largest national park in Zimbabwe and one of Africa's finest havens for wildlife. It is home to massive herds of elephant, buffalo, and zebra and has a very large concentration of giraffes. It is also home to many predators and endangered species plus varied birdlife. Return to the train and freshen up before a delicious lunch is served on board. Your afternoon is spent relaxing on board as the train travels between Dete and Gwaai along one of the world's longest stretches of straight railway line - 114 kilometers - and passes Bulawayo, the second city of Zimbabwe. Today is at leisure on board the train. Enjoy a relaxing morning, with breakfast served from 7am until 10am. The journey will take you across the Limpopo River as you cross the border from Zimbabwe to South Africa. In Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories, the 'Elephant's Child' departs his family for the "great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, to find out what the Crocodile has for dinner." Enjoy more superbly prepared meals on board, capping it off with a final dinner and drinks served in the elegant dining carriages.

A final breakfast on board the train before arriving at the private Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria. You will be met on arrival for your private transfer to your hotel in Johannesburg. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Johannesburg is a vast city where opposites collide to create an interesting city of contradictions and extraordinary charm. Situated within the province of Gauteng, Johannesburg is home to the world's largest urban forest of approximately 10 million trees. The city is the economic powerhouse of South Africa, and as a result has some of the most high-end shops and restaurants in the country. This urban sophistication stands in stark contrast with the many local street vendors and informal African shops. The city has a surprisingly diverse range of activities on offer: popular stops include the sobering Apartheid Museum, Constitution Hill, Nelson Mandela Square, and Sandton City.

Enjoy breakfast at leisure before check out and meet your driver in the lobby of the hotel for your transfer to the airport. Board your flight to Hdspruit Eastgate Airport where, on arrival, you will be transferred to your 5-star safari lodge located on a Private Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger area. A game-rich area, you can expect to see the Big 5 and more on multiple game drives and guided bush walks. Even from your private deck of your luxury lodge, game may be spotted at the nearby watering hole and along the dry riverbed. You can cool off in the beautiful swimming pool, relax in the spacious lounges and look forward to decadent bush dining in a variety of venues.
